A 2017 study of 141 preschoolers made some remarkable findings. Researchers studied academically similar children attending either Montessori schools or traditional schools over three years. There was evidence that Montessori best practices allowed kids to thrive. And children from lower-income backgrounds fared much better than their counterparts in other schools.
