Hello! My name is Jess Decker and I am a member of the awesome Lower Elementary team here at MWMA. I love working in a Montessori classroom and helping students find their natural passion for learning!
I want to share just a little bit about my experience in education. I graduated in 2010 from BYU-I with my B.S. in Elementary Education. I have lived and worked in education all over since then, from Arizona to Germany, lastly Idaho, and I have found a home here at MWMA. I really love being a teacher, it is what I was meant to do!!! I believe Montessori is such a beautiful way to give children the space to work at their own pace and find what they truly love about learning. I strive to create a safe and positive learning environment for my students grow and learn.
When I am not at work, I can be found reading, playing with my dog Callie, hiking, cooking or hanging out with friends. I look forward to this school year and all the fun learning to be had!!
