This is my first year teaching Physical Education and Health. I was born and raised in Ohio, graduated from University of Cincinnati and just recently moved to Utah in June. My wife and I honeymooned in Park City, Utah in 2017 and fell in love with everything outdoors here, so we decided to make the move once I graduated.
I have a passion for teaching others how to be & increase their health body mind and spirit. My goal for the students I teach, is for them to develop healthy, responsible lifestyle choices through having the knowledge, skills, and temperaments to work together in groups, think critically, and participate in a variety of activities that lead to a lifelong healthy lifestyle.
Outside of teaching I love to be outdoors (specifically in the mountains) enjoying activities such as snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking, backpacking, and more! I was a past ice hockey goalie chasing my dream to play professionally but now compete competitively in the sport of CrossFit. I have extensive knowledge in strength and conditioning, nutrition, and coaching through my years playing sports and past jobs I have worked. Getting out and moving is one of the best ways I’ve learned to be and stay healthy, so teaching students a tangible way for them to be active and enjoy it is one of the many things I love about my job.
