I’m Michelle Dana and I am a teacher in the lower elementary (grades 1-3). I have been a believer in the Montessori method of educating children for over twenty years! I worked at Montessori schools in Utah and California for several years, then set up my own Montessori classroom at home while my four boys were young. I finished my degree and taught in the Department of Defense schools while living in Guam.
My family was able to travel around Asia and the Pacific while we lived in Guam and this increased my passion for travel and geography. When not in the classroom you can find me reading, doing logic puzzles, watching historical documentaries, or hiking.
I love working at Mountain West Montessori Academy, and I love the ideal of making a Montessori education available in a public-school setting. I firmly believe in the potential of every child!
