Chaos Manager

Hey Everyone! It’s me Ms. Terra, the Chaos Manager here to share a bit about me, with you. I have been with Mountain West Montessori since the beginning, 7 years now, and what a joy it has been to see just how much we have grown.

Montessori has been my life for over 15 years, I’m a Montessorian through and through. Opening up this building and watching it grow from the ground up has been so fulfilling for me. To see the Montessori method being offered to children for free, and seeing how it has blessed the lives of so many families, fills my heart with so much joy.

Maria Montessori was an amazing woman and paved the way for hands-on individualized education. She managed to encourage fostering natural growth, recognizing responsibility and supporting choices, all while doing it in a loving, peaceful and understanding way. When a child feels loved they value a love for learning and growth.

I adore each and every one of our students at Mountain West, we have such a loving community of families. Connection with people is something I treasure. I love to connect with the students and their families, to get to know them on an individual basis. What can I say, I love my job, although it doesn’t feel like a job when you LOVE what you do!

Our family, my husband Chris, (Mr. Terra, as he is called, it gives him hallway cred) and our three beautiful girls know my love for Montessori and our family has realized my love for Montessori is very much a part of them as well. Together, we are Montessorians. My girls have always known Montessori since they have been little and started in the toddler class at 16 months. I have been grateful for the program that has fostered a love for learning and independence in them that makes this Mama’s heart happy. Chris and I know the value of a Montessori education and are grateful for my sister Teresa who introduced us to the Montessori method over 15 years ago. She is why I value this method of learning today.

When I am not eating, sleeping or breathing Montessori, I do like to spend time together with my family playing games and laughing together. I enjoy time to myself, which is rare, but when I have the time, I enjoy crafting, baking, graphic design projects and searching Pinterest for a project in which I enlist my Hubby to make. Thank goodness he is patient and willing. I also LOVE food, and my Husband and kids are great cooks! Life is meant to be enjoyed, and I am grateful for my family, they bring so much joy into my life.
