Passionate about fostering a love for learning and igniting intellectual curiosity, I am a dedicated Montessori educator committed to my students and their unique gifts and challenges. With over a decade of experience in education, I am a huge proponent of the Montessori philosophy with mixed-age classrooms, fostering self-regulation, social-emotional skills, and executive functioning skills while building a sense of belonging and community. I strive to create a supportive classroom where students feel empowered to explore, discover, and grow. I believe in fostering independence, creativity, and critical thinking skills through hands-on learning experiences.
I have a Master’s degree in education and human development and a Montessori credential in lower and upper elementary. In addition to teaching in upper elementary, I work as the school’s instructional coach with both a coaching and reading endorsement.
Outside the classroom, I enjoy playing board games, hiking, reading, writing, and attending plays and musicals. I love spending time with my friends and family, my husband, and our two dogs, Sherlock and Watson. I also enjoy scuba diving, traveling to new places, trying new foods, and–of course–learning new things!
